Your Questions Answered

  • The first session is an opportunity for you to share the reasons you are seeking psychological treatment and to begin working on therapy goals and a treatment plan. Most people find this initial meeting a helpful first step. Read the blog section of our website for more information.

  • Each session typically lasts 50 minutes, with the frequency tailored to your specific needs. We start with an assessment to ensure our therapy approach is the perfect fit for you. The number of sessions varies based on your personal goals, which we’ll discuss in your first meeting. Therapy can be short-term for specific issues or longer-term for ongoing support.

  • Sessions may be weekly, fortnightly, or at any other arrangement to be discussed. The amount of sessions and frequency will also be dependant on your treatment plan.

  • We offer two convenient ways to access our services: in-person sessions and online sessions. The main difference lies in how and where your session takes place.

    • In-Person Sessions: These sessions are held in our Surry Hills offices, where you meet directly with a psychologist for your consultation.

    • Online Sessions: Connect from anywhere in Australia with secure video or phone sessions designed for your convenience. By removing barriers like travel time and location, online coaching and counseling make it easier to prioritize your well-being without disrupting your schedule. It is a private, flexible, and effective way to access high-level support from the home or office.

  • Psychological therapy is confidential, with certain exceptions that will be explained to you before treatment commences and during your first consultation.

  • Standard appointments are 50 minutes and are available in person or via Telehealth. The cost of a 50-minute consultation is listed below.

    • Individual Psychology: Clinical Psychologist fees start at $265 for Individual sessions or 119.75 if you have a Mental Health Care Plan and rebate eligible ($145.25 Medicare rebate if applicable).

    • Executive Coaching: fees start from $350 per 60-minute session (no Medicare rebates available).

    • Group Workshops and Training Programs: prices are tailored according to the scope of the project.

    • Client Reports and Letters: Requests for letters or reports prepared by your psychologist will incur an additional fee equivalent to the time taken to prepare these letters / reports, pro-rated to the practitioner's scheduled fee above.

You will receive a consent form before your first session that outlines important information about fees, payment, confidentiality, and the privacy policy.

  • Rebates are only available for psychology sessions with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). If you receive a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $145.25 per session for 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. To find out if you are eligible to access Medicare Rebates, you need to make an appointment with your GP or see your psychiatrist. They will assess eligibility and may refer you to a Psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim rebates for psychological sessions. The level of cover and any applicable waiting periods vary between providers and depend on your policy. Please check with your health insurance provider for details on your level of cover and eligibility to claim

  • All payments are processed electronically using the credit/debit card details provided in the client intake form.

Payment is required at the time of your face-to-face or Telehealth appointment and can be made by credit card, or EFTPOS. For eligible clients Medicare and private health insurance claims can be processed at the time of your session.
