Can I claim Medicare and Private Health Insurance Rebates?

Rebates are only available for psychology sessions with a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP). If you receive a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP, you are entitled to a Medicare rebate of $96.65 per session for 10 psychology sessions per calendar year. To find out if you are eligible to access Medicare Rebates, you need to make an appointment with your GP or see your psychiatrist. They will assess eligibility and may refer you to a Psychologist under a Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP).

If you have private health insurance, you may be eligible to claim rebates for psychological sessions. The level of cover and any applicable waiting periods vary between providers and depend on your policy. Please check with your health insurance provider for details on your level of cover and eligibility to claim.

How are payments processed?
All payments are processed electronically using the credit/debit card details provided in the client intake form. Payment is required at the end of your face-to-face or telehealth appointment and can be made by cash, credit card, or EFTPOS at the clinic. Medicare or Private health insurance claims can be processed at the time of your session.

What is the cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide 24 hours notice prior to your scheduled appointment to avoid a cancellation fee. Any changes to your appointment within 24 hours or non-attendance will attract a 100% cancellation fee, which must be paid before making future appointments.
